Our Mission
At Lanternlight Farm Mobile Petting Zoo, we are passionate about bringing joy and learning through up-close animal encounters. Our focus is on creating a safe and engaging environment where both children and adults can connect with our animals. Our Petting Zoo includes goats, sheep, and alpaca. At the events that we service we allow people to pet and feed the animals with feed that we provide. All we need is a grassy (or dirt) spot accessible by vehicle to set up and we take care of the rest!
Rates and Packages
Backyard Petting Zoo Package
Setup includes animal enclosures to hold one alpaca, two sheep, and two goats as well as a hand sanitizing station and small feed tote.
$350.00 for the first hour and $100.00 for each additional hour.
ideal for birthday parties and small gathering of 30 people or less.

Barnyard Petting Zoo Package
Set up includes animal enclosures to hold one alpaca, and at least four goats and four sheep. (More animals will be included at no extra cost depending on the expected amount of people in attendance at the event.) hand sanitizing station and a large feed tote with at least 200 feed cups.
$650.00 for the first hour and $200.00 for each additional hour.

Travel Fee
$2.00 per mile. Events within 25 miles on the farm will have no travel fee

A little more about us
We love having the opportunity to share our animals and the joy that they bring! It is our utmost priority to make our petting zoos safe and respectful for both the humans and the animals. We are insured and make sure that we clean up after the animals and keep everything sanitary. In addition to that there are a few quirky things we always make sure we do!
Our animals get to choose if they come on a event with us! We want to share the joy of animals with others, but we do not want to exploit them. When it is time to go on an event we pull up next to the animals pens and open the trailer door. Whoever jumps on the trailer gets to come! And whoever chooses not to jump on the trailer gets to stay home. More often than not we have to limit how many jump on the trailer because these animals really love their job!

We keep the animals safely in their enclosures. People may pet from the outside, but not go inside with the animals. This is twofold in keeping people, especially small children, safe from being stepped on or knocked over, and it respects our animals need for space. Our animals are always so excited to see visitors! And like anyone else, sometimes our animals need to be able to take breaks, keeping a fence between visitors and the animals gives them the freedom to take time and space as they need it without being crowded or forced to be pet.
We set up our petting zoo right off of the side of our livestock trailer and stay parked there for the duration of the event. This means for set up we need roughly a 20x40 foot space. but it allows us to unload and load all the animals in the safest was possible. That way the majority of the animals never have an opportunity to get loose. And it also allows for one side of the enclosures to be inaccessible by guests so that if the animals need some space they have the ability to step away and recharge their social battery!
Our animals that have babies get an extended maternity leave that begins in the last leg of their pregnancy that allows them to just relax and get lots of extra food and vitamins, so they are not given the option to come on petting zoos. Once the babies are born we wait until babies are weaning age before we start bringing them on petting zoos to make sure they have the best start in life and aren't exposed to so many outside germs and stressors. When they are old enough to come along they still look like cute babies, they're just a little stronger, and they always get to be accompanied by their mama.
Our Petting Zoo includes goats, sheep, and alpaca. We choose the animals in particular because they are ruminants, which only have one row of teeth in the front meaning that they're much less likely to cause a severe bites compared to animals such as horses, pigs, or rabbits.
